With intensive edge work and attention to detail, the power skating sessions during the CCM Powerskating Camp will make You faster, quicker, and ready to score the championship winning goal. This is what our summer hockey camps are all about.

The CCM Powerskating Camp has been created to give young motivated hockey players the opportunity to train with world class powerskating coaches. On top of that, we want to give them the chance to compare their skills with athletes from all over the world, as we had 35 nations at the CCM Powerskating Camp 2022.

Hardy Gensel and Robin Beckers trained countless Pros and top prospects like Tim Stützle. Train like the Pros and learn from the best.

On Ice Training

For our CCM Powerskating camp we will fly in an absolute expert in this field:
Andreas Larsson. As a former speedskater and current coach of many NHL players he knows what to look for when you want to improve your skating to have the edge over your competition.

Focused Training

In our summer camp, we will work intensively on each aspect of powerskating. Our camp is focused only on powerskating in order to be able to work on every little detail and focus on each aspect of edge control. This distincts us from our competitors.

Off ice training

The players will work with a specific off ice coach. Our focus will be on teaching our players how to properly train off the ice in order to increase on powerskating performance on the ice. Our goal is that the players learn the right technique for off ice training and can train on their own.

Age groups

To train the athletes more specific and effective, they are divided into groups according to age. For each summer camp, we have 3 age groups. Adult players are also welcome.

Limited Spots

We limit the available spots in order to have high quality practices. We distinct ourselves from our competition because we provide instant feedback to each player. Hockey is a game of details, and these are what we focus on.

Best training conditions

Our hockey camp is located in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Not only does this place bring ideal climate and training conditions, but it’s also an ideal spot for awesome hikes and city visits. The CCM Powerskating Camp is much more than just a summer hockey camp.

Analysis

On the first day of the Powerskating Camp we will screen and analyze our players, so that we get a feel of the general level of each participant. Also, we will do on ice testing in order to generate a standard of evaluation for the end of the camp.

Balance

On the second day, our on ice sessions will focus on finding the right balance on our skates and edges. This is the most important aspect of powerskating and cannot be neglected. From youth to the NHL, this is where it all starts.

Edge control

On the third day, we will intensify our edge work in order to gain full control of our skates. Full control will truly maximize our potential, as we can only access full power through full use of inner and outer edge. This is what powerskating is all about.

Explosiveness

On the fourth day, we will further continue our powerskating program towards more explosivity in each of our strides. This will help us generate the power that we need to beat our opponends when the game is on the line.

Evaluation

On the last day, we will go over the key aspects of our powerskating technique and perform the on ice testing again. This will give us a great overview of where our players could improve and show how much can be done in only 5 days.

Video Analysis

New starting 2019 we will have a professional video analysis done for every player. We will record them throughout the week and analyze the videos with our coaching staff.

Kris Beech Head Coach - VAL GARDENA CAMP 10 -14 July 2023

Kris Beech is a former NHL player that played for the Washington Capitals, Pittsburgh Penguins, Vancouver Canucks and Columbus Blue Jackets.

During his junior career, Kris played in the renowned WHL in Canada. His great talent was already discovered very early as he was drafted by the Washington Capitals in the 1st round, 7th overall.

After his long career in the NHL and AHL, he continued playing in Europe, where he played in the SHL (Sweden), NL (Switzerland) and DEL (Germany).

Kris is now the skills coach for the Vancouver Giants in the WHL, which is part of the CHL, the world’s best junior league.

With Kris, we could add another amazing asset to our coaching staff, as he will bring tons of experience and expertise to our camps.

Hardy Gensel Head Coach - FASSA CAMP July 31st to August 4th 2023

Hardy Gensel from the Eisbären Berlin is a former DEL-Player and also has his own hockey school, where he works with many Pro’s and prospects.

Hardy was part of the Powerskating Camp 2020 and could really impress the players with his very active coaching style with many demonstrations and unorthodox drills.

We are very happy to have him back for another year, as together with Robin Beckers he forms a top-notch coaching tandem for our CCM Powerskating Camp 2021!

Benjamin Prucker Head Fitness Coach

With Benjamin Prucker we will have a true fitness specialist in our team. Benjamin worked with kids and adults of multiple sports and brings a lot of experience in this field.

During the camp, the camp will go through many conditioning, agility and strength workouts that are closely related to on ice performance especially in the skating and conditioning aspect.

Martin Rabanser Coaching Staff

Martin Rabanser is the founder and manager of Pro Hockey Europe.

He used to be a goalie and player in many junior, college and pro leagues in North America and Europe.

During the 2020/21 season he was the director of hockey operations and coach for the Graz 99ers Juniors.

Afterwards, he joined the Vancouver Canucks of the NHL to work in hockey analytics and scouting.

This opportunity gives him access to the newest technologies and best coaches in the world of hockey.

Andrea Ambrosi Coaching Staff

Andrea Ambrosi is a professional head coach in Italy’s second highest league, the IHL. Andrea played for many teams in Italy’s first league as well as for the Italian national team. With his experience and great energy he can help our players get to the next level during our summer camps.

Andrea Galeazzi Coach

Andrea Galeazzi is an active coach in the junior department of HC Bolzano in Italy. Andrea played in Italy‘s highest Pro league for many years and many teams, including Milan.

As a coach, he was responsible for the junior department of HC Fassa and HC Val di Fiemme along with being the coach of the Trentino selection.

With his extensive experrience as a player (15 years) and coach (13 years) he brings a ton of experience to our camps.

Luca Felicetti Coaching Staff

Luca Felicetti is an Italian ice hockey coach that used to play in the top Italian hockey league as well as for the national team, for whom he participated in multiple world championships.

In his junior career, Luca also played in America for multiple seasons. Felicetti started his coaching career right after he stopped playing and is now responsible for the whole junior department of HC Bolzano.
